If you are an expert programmer in XHTML, PHP and CSS and have good design sense, then you already have the first six ingredients in your shelf.
Stripes, curves and gradient images are essential ingredients for creating cool web 2.0 designs. If you are unfamiliar with creating images using Photoshop (or Gimp) and don’t have time to learn these tools, do not worry. You can be a novice at using Photoshop (or Gimp) and still whip up high quality images online for your new theme. Here’s how:
Rounded Corner and Gradient Generator – Generating rounded or rectangular boxes for menus, buttons and background images have never been easier. Add a bit of gradient and a thin border to spice your boxes if you want.
Stripes Generator – Adding a supercool striped background image to the header (or footer) can make your design more appetizing for your visitors.
Textures and Icons – Add background texture and few icons to taste. You can find a list of resources here.
Favicon Generator – Want your visitors to bookmark your new website and visit often? Generate a tiny favicon and place it in your website’s root folder.
Mix these images with the six other ingredients and your hot new theme is ready to serve. Yummy!!!
Finally, want your friends to link to your redesigned blog? Hand them a brilliant button.
