Web Standards

Web standards generally refer to the protocols that govern data transmission and communication on the internet, as well as the design and programming fundamentals web pages are built with. The W3C committee oversees the standards for HTML, XHTML, XML, and CSS, among others, while the ECMA International group regulates JavaScript. Building standards compliant web sites is important, and a number of tools exist to help web designers and programmers debug their pages. WebDevNews and Attackr publish articles from the design and development community that keep track of these tools, and review them, as well as including tips and tricks that help you build better web pages. We invite developers to share their information on web standards by signing up for a blog on the sites.
