Actually, I enjoyed your article. I learned a lot, and was just not sure if it would be free for me. I know you are 16 from OD, and your are far ahead of my skills when I was that age. Keep up the good work.

I use AT and T. I wasn’t saying that they don’t charge for text messaging if your not signed up for it. T i Think the AT&T service charges $0.00 for incoming texts and $0.25 for outgoing texts. Maybe I was misinformed. Im 16 years old, I don’t pay the bills. Lol. I appreciate your interest, Len.

Connor, you have a good phone plan. Consumer Affairs says most plans charge for text messaging if you have not signed up for it. What phone service do you use?

At least with my plan, they do not charge me for incoming texts. I think the philosophy is that you should not be held responsible for telling the whole world that you don’t have texting and you have to pay every time you need to use. Maybe try it out then look at your phone bill. Or ask your carrier if you get charged for incoming texts.

Just curious. If you don’t have a text plan with your phone, do you pay for this each time a message forwards from your email to your phone? I don’t have a text plan with Verizon, but I can send and receive text, but they charge me each time I use it. I did not need a text plan because I don’t use it too often.
